Details are posted here of the walks I conduct for my informal walking group, together with general musings on walking and on life. I can also post items here for commercial clients wanting an outlet for their written materials. Buxton walk, optional lunch and the biggest dome in Europe!

Meet Buxton Station 10.50am, direct hourly trains from Manchester & Stockport. A walk of approx 6 miles that ascends steeply to Solomon’s Temple at the top of Buxton Country Park and also passes the tourist sights of this beautiful spa town. While the climb is strenuous the walk is lovely, as is the town itself, and the walk isn’t too long, giving you time to recover! Many pub/cafe options for lunch, or bring your own. We can also visit the Devonshire Dome (the largest dome in Europe) which is hosting a Christmas Shopping Fair this day – free entry. Would love to see you and a guest on this day.buxton-dome
